Description
The Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling has its foundation in ministerial preparation as well as counseling.
Program Objectives
The purpose of the Master of Science Degree in Pastoral Counseling is to provide the students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to listen, calculate, and communicate effectively so that they are prepared for the ministry of Pastoral Counseling within a church or ministry and provide this ever-changing society with 21st century pastors with a heart for God and God’s people.
Prerequisites
Students must meet the entrance requirements of University of Fort Lauderdale.
Program Completion
Completion of the Master of Science degree requires completion of 45 credits. Students have the option to choose between the required three tracks to complete their degree: a thesis (6 credits); a capstone and one additional elective on the 500/600 level; 2 additional courses on the 500/600 level. It is strongly advised that those students planning to continue their studies for a higher degree or research take the thesis option.
